Meet the Directors

Barbara Young - Co-Director - Health/Physical Education Teacher and former Assistant Varsity Field Hockey Coach at Moorestown High School. She has been coaching Field Hockey for 17+ years.

A Graduate of Michigan State University, where she played Field Hockey and was selected to:

• The All Big Ten Team 2 years
• The NFHCA All Region Team
• Field Hockey Club of South Jersey Collegiate Team

Barbara is also a graduate of Moorestown High School where she played Field Hockey.

Joan Lewis - Co-Director - Retired Head Field Hockey Coach of Moorestown High School where she coached for 26 years. Joan led her teams to 13 New Jersey State titles, 20 South Jersey and Central Jersey titles and 22 league titles.

She was honored 2 times as "Coach of the Year" by the Field Hockey Club of South Jersey as well as numerous coach of the year honors by local newspapers.  She is a member of NJICA Hall of Fame.

Joan is an excellent coach and motivator of Hockey Skills, techniques and overall knowledge of the game.

She has developed and taught hockey drills during her years of coaching that will push every player to higher levels of play.
